Steven maintains his standing through regular education, is methodical, observant, comprehensive and detailed. Steven is an active member of CAHPI and InterNACHI.
In 1994 Steven managed the construction of his home, prompting a passion for quality workmanship. Steven then went on to hold a successful 20 year career in project management in addition to adding 15 years of hands-on home renovations including design, complete gutting and rebuilding of bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, roofing, decks & outbuildings. It became a natural transition then for Steven to take the next step and apply his knowledge and experience to a full-time career in home inspection.
On a personal note, Steven has owned, lived in, maintained and often renovated several homes since 1989. These homes include a country bungalow on well and septic; a subdivision builder home built in the 60’s with asbestos; a quality-built 90’s home; a 70’s home with aluminum wiring; a 150 year old brick home with a stone foundation and knob & tube wiring; a 3-season cottage on stilts and most recently he custom designed and built his contemporary country house exceeding building codes and using modern materials. His home ownership experience is wide and varied, further deepening Steven’s appreciation of the challenges, risks and joys of home ownership.
